Responsibilities

Collaborate with software engineers to build, maintain, and automate application testing, deployment, and operational support
Translate engineering team requirements into application/system configurations employing the team’s established designs and processes
Write scripts and utilize infrastructure tools and AWS services to automate continuous integration, and infrastructure provisioning and operational support
Perform after-hours system maintenance and on-call troubleshooting when needed and respond to alerts in a timely manner
Develop, deploy, and maintain development, test, and production environments that are consistent across all products and services
Install and configure networks and Linux-based computer systems ensuring a high level of security across all services and accounts
Run necessary system backups and maintenance. Perform regular system updates across multiple systems
Monitors for system vulnerabilities and intrusion detection and installs necessary patches
Serves as a contributing team member, participating in the team's engineering process and regularly communicating status to supervisor and team

Required

Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 1 year relevant experience; or masters degree in computer science, engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge of database administration and networking
Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills
Familiarity with key concepts of Infrastructure as Code (Programmable Infrastructure)
