Responsibilities
Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the location
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the facility
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance as needed
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, or policy violations to appropriate personnel
Assist with visitor management, including issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs as required
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, such as guiding individuals during evacuations or lockdowns
Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, addressing inquiries and providing directions or information as needed
Qualification
Required
Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
