Learn mowing, trimming, pruning, and professional landscaping techniques
Explore turf care, fertilization, and Integrated Pest Management
Experience high-end residential horticulture and specialty plant care
Shadow client-facing managers to learn about communication, quality control, and service planning
Get an inside look at leadership, scheduling, and branch operations
Learn how to maintain and repair irrigation systems for water efficiency
Assist in designing and installing upgrades to commercial landscapes
Present your internship takeaways and career plan to leadership
Qualification
Required
Students in horticulture, turfgrass, ag sciences, or related fields
Individuals who want hands-on experience and career growth
Self-motivated learners with a positive attitude and team player
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE
Must present yourself in a professional, polite manner
Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must have good communication skills and the ability to motivate others
Must comply with Bland's policies and procedures
