Responsibilities
Install and service low voltage security systems in new construction and retrofit/aftermarket commercial and light industrial environments
Program security, access control, and camera systems
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and system upgrades at customer sites
Collaborate with the project team with site planning, compliance, inspections and system commissioning after project completion
Serve as the technical liaison between our customers and our system hardware and software manufacturers
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service, training and support
Complete service reports and documentation within project deadlines
Provide assistance to other Field Service Technicians as needed, promoting a supportive team environment
Terminate and install end devices such as card readers, motion detectors, glass breaks, electric locks, and cameras
Dress and terminate security panels within an IDF room
Qualification
Required
Valid Driver's license and insurable with company insurance
2+ years hands on experience troubleshooting and installing systems
Operate various power equipment such as power tools and drills
Ability to read blueprints
Measure and apply basic math skills
Lift large, bulky, and heavy objects and able to navigate warehouse to access both high and low items
Comfortable with aerial installation work using ladders and lifts
Work non-climate-controlled setting
Preferred
Access control experience a plus
Familiarity with NEC Standards and electrical codes a plus, but not required
