Responsibilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, product managers, and marketers to understand overall design goals for user experience
Converts graphic designs and concepts into user interface elements using modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks including Vue.js, fabric.js, and Nuxt
Follows UX/UI guidelines and standards to enforce consistency throughout all Hunter Industries products. Participates in design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets best practices
Analyzes user behavior, customer feedback, and application performance and translate findings into tickets for improvements
Applies UX best practices for consistent, quality user experience on all devices using responsive design
Proactively monitors and upholds the performance and stability of applications during the deployment of new features and corrections
Identifies, troubleshoots, and fixes bugs to improve app performance and UX independently
Writes optimized, reusable, and testable code
Contributes to peer code reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering is required
3-5 years of experience in graphic design on interactive enterprise-level web sites or software applications
Experience in each of: HTML, CSS, front-end JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with frameworks (Angular, Vue.js, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and ability to hand code without reference material
Strong knowledge and experience with user interface design patterns and visual design elements
Proven experience designing and implementing interactive web or software applications
Experience creating responsive designs
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks
Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills
Requires ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines
Must have effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other departments
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs
Preferred
Experience working with HTML Canvas API
Experience creating and using RESTful web services and APIs
Able to adapt new or unfamiliar JavaScript frameworks in an enterprise setting
Understanding of Agile project management
Knowledge of PHP
