Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of factory and site acceptance testing, and point-to-point functional validations for deployed field assets and systems
Serve as a technical expert and provide field support for deployed field assets and technologies
Provide support for the development and implementation of new control room and field operations processes and procedures related to the deployed field technologies
Plans, coordinates, and executes site commissioning efforts for hand off to the operator
Provides technical assistance to clients through the support of programs, technology and strategic applications
Applies technical principles to analyze and resolve problems
Tests and evaluates new technologies, tools, materials and equipment as appropriate
Manages and coordinates all activities leading to the successful completion of multiple concurrent projects
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in the field due to the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the position
2-8 years of experience in Transmission, Distribution, and/or Customer Service Field operations and related technologies and processes
Good oral and written communication skills
High School Diploma/GED is required
General computer skills and use of basic Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to read and interpret technical documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must possess the ability to review complex problems and propose innovative solutions, which involve technical and operational issues, and may link new concepts and technologies
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation required
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence to all levels of the organization
Possess coachability, eager to learn with self-motivation and initiative
Preferred
Natural gas experience is preferred
