Senior Engineer I, Software (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
Execute all aspects of software development according to standards, including specification, design, and implementation of Terumo software development procedures
Assist with establishing quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality
Provide technical leadership on software development tasks
Generate, and evaluate software documents and code
Evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and technologies used in software development
Prototype software for demonstration/feasibility purposes
Perform hardware/software integration and testing
Contribute to the planning, implementation, and completion of projects to develop, install, and qualify new processes for manufacturing new products or improving existing products / processes
Recommend through research cost reduction projects and opportunities for productivity and quality improvements
Provide support for testing software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products
Define software requirements and assist in defining verification requirements
Gather, track, and analyze data for meetings, business plan, etc. (yields/output/efficiencies)
Plan work schedules, expenditures, attend meetings, and prepare reports as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Requires a four-year college degree in an applicable engineering discipline, such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering
A minimum of six years of experience in software design and implementation or including six years of experience with structured or object-oriented programming
A master's degree in a computer engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and a minimum of five years of experience in an engineering environment
Intermediate computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience in medical device industry preferred
