Senior LevelTulane University School of Medicine is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in Hydroclimatology. The role focuses on investigating hydroclimatic variability under climate change, particularly changes in precipitation patterns in the Southeastern US.

Responsibilities
Investigate changes in the seasonality, generation mechanism, intensity, and intermittency of precipitation in the Southeastern US
Emphasize the role of land-atmosphere interactions and the link between vegetation-climate relations and precipitation
Build strong links with collaborators in the Departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Tulane University and the Tulane ByWater Institute
Qualification
Required
PhD in a relevant field such as hydroclimatology, environmental science, or a related discipline
Experience in investigating hydroclimatic variability and precipitation patterns
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in research and work environments
Preferred
Experience with land-atmosphere interactions
Familiarity with vegetation-climate relations
Previous research experience in the Southeastern US
Interest in building collaborations with other departments
