1+ years expECPI University is seeking an Online - Electrical Engineering Academic Support Specialist to provide academic instructional support services to students in their Online – Engineering Technology Program. The role involves coaching, tutoring, and mentoring students to develop their academic skills and providing technology support in a remote environment.

Provides academic support to students in the form of coaching, tutoring, or mentoring
Works with students to develop their academic skills both in general and in the online classroom environment
Provides assistance with study skills such as reading, note-taking, organization and time management
Provides academic technology support to students
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Systems Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited institution
1-2 years prior work experience within the past 5 years required
The highest levels of integrity at all times
Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote environment
Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy)
Attentive listener, and able to see multiple perspectives
Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
Experience supporting distance learning students in higher education or other setting
Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment
Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both current practices and emerging trends in distance learning and related technologies
Orientation toward results
