Electric Market Settlement Analyst I/II

Responsibilities
Retrieve data from external entities, MISO, SPP, WAPA, Black Hills, OTP, etc. and complete balancing procedures daily
Compare settlement estimates to MISO/SPP settlement statements to identify and resolve discrepancies. Submit settlement disputes to the appropriate entity as needed
Verify accuracy and approve for payment of invoices for power market entities as appropriate
Monitor and manage metered power flow data from various billing and data sources. Submit accurate meter data to the appropriate entity in accordance with applicable tariff and protocols
Verify consistency of wholesale market data and operational energy data in the EMS
Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must possess a working knowledge of accounting theory and financial concepts at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or related field
One years' experience in utility or energy marketing or related functions
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access
May be required to maintain a valid driver's license
Due to the need for unescorted access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems, must submit to periodic background checks
Subject to Pre-employment Drug Testing Policy and Background Check
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered
