This role involves operating coating lines to produce experimental film samples and executing standard operating procedures associated with coating fluids.

Responsibilities
Operate slot-die coaters and chemical processing equipment per SOP
Document coating runs on run sheet
Monitor quality of coated films for defects or abnormalities
Execute special start-up and shutdown protocols
Keep coaters and processing equipment clean and in working order
Follow safety and cleanroom requirements and always wear proper PPE
Qualification
Required
Experience handling chemicals and working in a chemical lab environment (solvents, inks, coating fluids)
Ability to transfer up to 40 pounds
Ability to work in an active process environment
Flexibility in supporting tasks such as film-roll handling, splicing and rewinding films, film inspection, equipment/facility upgrades, and process development
