Responsibilities
Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and motions related to debt collection
Negotiate settlements and payment plans with consumers and/or their legal representatives
File lawsuits against consumers and handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery and appeals
Draft and review legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, motions, and settlement agreements
Enforce judgments through garnishments, liens, and asset seizures
Work with paralegals and legal assistants to follow up on documentation for court
Travel to and from court
Qualification
Required
Member of BAR Association/Law degree
1 year experience working on legal cases
2+ years' experience debt collection, litigation, or creditor's rights
Computer skills
Preferred
Experience with small claims court system in Indiana
Experience with Odyssey filing system
