Start in 2026 SummerHigh Companies is a leading fabricator of structural steel for complex bridge and transportation projects across North America. They are currently seeking an Estimating/Industrial Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 to assist in reviewing estimates and validating estimating standards while engaging with various teams.

Responsibilities
Learn the basics of fabricating steel bridges
Interpret design and shop drawings, specifications, and general construction documents
Complete in-shop time studies of various fabrication steps (i.e. welding, machining and yard setup)
Document time study findings in comparison to current estimating standards to assist the estimating team with system updates
Support continuous improvement initiatives that aim to streamline departmental processes
Work in both office and fabrication shop environments
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in undergraduate college/university
Team-player attitude
Willingness to work in both a shop and office setting
Strong attention-to-detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday
Able to work in our Lancaster, PA office
Proficient PC skills, i.e., Microsoft Office
Preferred
Candidates pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or other relevant area of study are preferred
Preference for rising senior at time of internship
