InternDaifuku Airport America Corporation is a subsidiary of Daifuku North America, the largest material handling company in the world. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op/Intern to provide hands-on experience in mechanical areas while supporting engineering staff on various projects.

Responsibilities
Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations
Investigate, gather and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks
Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas
Implement new manufacturing processes and technology
Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications
Compile necessary information to document the design solution required for adoption of a design
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Actively enrolled in and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university
Willing to work hands-on with tools and mechanical equipment
Strong organizational skills and written communication skills
Computer skills in Excel, Outlook, and Word
Self-managed, hard-working, great attitude, ready to learn
Availability to work 24-40 hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Friday, ongoing (not seasonal)

Perform other duties as assigned
Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence
Capability of maneuvering through an industrial conveyor system requiring climbing access ladders, negotiating catwalks and lifting and/or carrying objects up to 40 lbs
Preferred
AutoCAD experience in 2D and 3D. Solidworks is a plus
Experience in Inventor considered a plus
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
