2026 Summer Intern (Contracts)
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is a global leader in the design and production of munitions and armaments. The Contracts Intern will work with teams on various contract projects, gaining hands-on experience and enhancing their skill set in a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities
Will undertake, initially, a range of administrative and support tasks for the Large Caliber Ammunition Contracts department
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Build productive internal/external working relationships
Shadow contracts staff through the full lifecycle: proposal → award → modification → closeout
Must be comfortable working autonomously and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
Update and organize contract files to align with audit readiness standards
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports
Gain hands-on experience with compliance requirements (FAR, DFARS)
Recommend process improvements identified during the internship
May also support the documentation and updates of procedures or work instructions
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in related Business courses or be within 6 months of graduation
No prior experience needed
