Preferred Floor & Tile CO. is a family-owned business specializing in flooring solutions for home builders and property management. They are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage sourcing, ordering, and tracking of flooring materials, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.

Responsibilities

Create, process, and track purchase orders for flooring products (hardwood, tile, carpet, vinyl), adhesives, underlayment, and installation tools, etc

Ensure timely delivery to warehouses, job sites, or installation partners

Resolve order discrepancies including pricing, quantities, damages, and backorders

Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and order histories

Communicate daily with flooring manufacturers, distributors, and specialty suppliers

Request quotes, compare pricing, and support cost-saving initiatives as directed

Track supplier performance including lead times, accuracy, and service issues

Assist with onboarding new flooring vendors as directed

Monitor inventory levels for flooring SKUs and replenish stock based on usage and forecasts

Coordinate special orders for custom flooring or non-stock items

Flag material shortages or delays before they impact installation schedules

Build new skus and obtain pricing for estimating and new customers

Assist Supply Chain Manager with new market launch as directed

Assist in maintaining and updating product catalog as directed

Match vendor prices and invoices to purchase orders and receipts

Assist with cost tracking, budget compliance, and margin protection

Prepare daily/weekly purchasing and vendor reporting
