Responsibilities
Research, analyze, build and share various actuarial concepts and models with department leaders and teams
Work closely with Reserving and Pricing Actuaries in support of the business
Learn to apply coursework in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, and Risk Management to real-world business questions and problems
Work effectively with others, use resources, and collaborate across the enterprise
Review models and partner on the development of new models
Qualification
Required
Graduate or currently enrolled student in an Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar program
30 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no earlier than December of 2027
Foundational understanding of actuarial models, insurance industry principles, and risk management
Proficiency in advanced mathematics including, calculus and discrete distributions
Capable of clearly articulating complex topics to a wide variety of audiences
Ability to work on-site at our headquarters located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Preferred
Prior work or internship experience
Familiarity with SQL programming including scripting and queries
Passed or scheduled actuarial exams such as, Exam P – Probability or Exam FM – Financial Mathematics
Exposure to additional programming languages, such as VBA, Python, SAS or R
