Moore & Van Allen PLLC is a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Agent with an IP focused background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science to join its Charlotte, NC office. The role requires excellent scientific and technical drafting skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities
Excellent scientific/technical ability and drafting skills
Excellent application drafting and prosecution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills—must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external Firm contacts
Must be a team player – you will be working with junior associates and senior partners to achieve optimal client outcomes
Must have a desire to learn and grow your skill set
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Expertise in areas such as network architecture, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and cybersecurity
Excellent scientific/technical ability and drafting skills
Excellent application drafting and prosecution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external Firm contacts
Team player
Desire to learn and grow skill set
Eligibility to sit for the Patent Bar examination
Preferred
Registration with the Patent Bar
Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
