Legal Administrative Assistant
Calpine Corporation is America's largest generator of electricity from natural gas and geothermal resources with operations in competitive power markets. They are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide a variety of administrative support duties to attorneys and legal staff, including drafting legal documents, coordinating meetings, and managing calendars.

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of administrative support duties to support attorneys and/or designated legal staff; researches, drafts and prepare legal documents, such as engagement letters, contracts, amendments, business filings, legal billings, corporate minutes and related documents
Coordinates legal meetings and in-house continuing education training sessions for attorneys; answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages and monitors voicemail
Processes daily incoming and out-going mail
Manages calendars and books travel arrangements for one or more managers, staff
Maintains and organizes department and project files and file room
Depending on level and experience, may prepare a variety of reports including weekly/monthly department status updates, routine project progress, business development activities and expense reports frequently using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
At the top level, provides work leadership and may delegate day-to-day tasks to less experienced legal administrative assistants
May handle a wide variety of situations and conflicts involving administrative functions of the office and handles confidential information, as needed
Qualification
Required
Associates Degree, Technical/Business School
Typically requires minimum of 3 years' experience in a legal environment, including comprehensive knowledge of tools, records, software and other technologies or an equivalent level of education and related experience
