Responsibilities

Contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle—from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
Own assigned tasks and deliverables, working independently while aligning with guidance from Project Managers, and leadership to meet project goals
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful, end-to-end project delivery that meets business requirements
Analyze and troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Create and maintain accurate documentation to support development and operational processes
Continuously enhance technical expertise by staying current with industry trends and adopting modern tools to improve development practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred
Proficiency in COBOL programming and working knowledge of relational databases
Ability to promote a positive, professional image and build strong, productive relationships across teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and practice effective time management, both independently and in a team setting
Solid business acumen, ideally with experience in the insurance industry
Expertise in scoping, estimation, code analysis, and testing to ensure quality and accuracy
