Responsibilities
Responsible for handling a desk of low-to-moderately complex, Property Liability claims under the supervision of a Claims Supervisor
Conducts investigation throughout all aspects of the claims process
Investigates, evaluates and drafts appropriate coverage correspondence to policyholders
Effectively communicates with policyholders, claimants and other stakeholders’ status of claim
Determines liability, evaluates exposure, and negotiates claims to resolution
Maintains accurate documentation/information in claim file
Proactively drives claims toward resolution
Qualification
Required
Superior written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Exhibit skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Ability to multi-task and handle desk of high-volume claims
Strong negotiation skills
Proficiency in assigning and directing investigations
Associates or Four-year college degree, or relevant experience in the insurance industry
