Malamut Law is seeking an experienced Respondent Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters across New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation defense cases from inception to resolution
Appear at workers’ compensation court hearings throughout New Jersey
Conduct depositions, legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation
Provide strategic counsel to clients, including risk assessment and case valuation
Maintain accurate case records and meet all filing deadlines
Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel

Qualification

Juris Doctor (J.D.)New Jersey Bar membershipWorkers’ compensation experienceLitigation skillsNegotiation skillsHigh-volume caseload managementWritten communication skillsOral communication skills

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar
Minimum of 5 years' experience handling respondent-side workers' compensation matters in NJ
Strong litigation and negotiation skills
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
