Investment Portfolio Clerk (Clerk of Courts)
Miami-Dade County is seeking an Investment Portfolio Clerk responsible for detailed analytical work on investment input, safekeeping, and cash management operations. Responsibilities
Complete the Sympro sub-system updates and Wells Fargo net settlement balances/trades daily for the General Operating account, Seaport, Housing, Water & Sewer accounts, and Constitutional offices
Download weekly reports from the Vantage Wells Fargo Portal
Download weekly reports from investment sub-ledger to send to the Investment Advisor
Tracks outstanding invoices sent to Wells Fargo bank and compares against the Analysis Statement
Audit prior day's investments and maturities on a daily basis
Inputting and ensuring the accuracy of the data entered into the SymPro sub-ledger
Trades are entered into the SymPro sub-system daily
The accuracy of the inputs affects the reporting provided to various County departments, the Board of County Commissioners, the Investment Advisory Committee, and other stakeholders
Entering the External billing for the credit card charges into INFORMS monthly for County departments and Constitutional offices
The credit card fees must be billed according to a report that is provided by the credit card processor
This requires precision when billing other department and ensuring bills are paid for
Providing customer service related to banking, credit cards fees related questions, and audit requests related to the County's Investment Portfolios
This involves responding to inquiries from employees, investment brokers, and auditors using the telephone, emails, Microsoft Teams, etc
Directing calls to the appropriate department when necessary
Reconcile daily wire transfers for the County's General Operating account and Constitutional Offices
Reconcile the daily cash flow for the County's General Operating account and Constitutional Offices
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Two years of experience in finance, investment banking, cash management or securities operations are required
College course work can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis
Must have an intermediate knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
Must be able to multi-task and handle various functions
Preferred
Intermediate level knowledge of Bonds
Have an understanding of the mechanics of the day-to-day management of a large investment portfolio
Prior experience with fixed income investments
