Develop sources, maintain contacts and pursue leads to create original stories
Gather information, video content, interviews, and other elements necessary to produce thorough, high-quality news reports
Shoot, write and edit clearly and creatively
Present well-written, fully documented and creatively produced news stories, series and documentaries for all platforms including social media
Represent News 12 positively in the community in a courteous and professional manner
Participate in promotional activities including public appearances
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Respond to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations as required
Coach and train as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum four years full-time professional news experience
Maintain professional personal appearance
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing within the state of current residence
Flexibility to work any assigned shift
