Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end handling of claims across Financial Lines, including E&O, D&O, and other Casualty products

Identify, analyze, and resolve coverage issues under relevant policy forms. Communicate coverage positions clearly and professionally to insureds, brokers, and MGAs

Collaborate with legal team responsible for managing litigation and dispute resolution processes, including participation in mediations and settlement conferences

Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of liability and damages, particularly on high-severity claims. Recommend and set appropriate reserves within authority

Partner effectively with internal underwriting, actuarial, and legal teams, as well as external brokers, TPAs and clients, to ensure alignment and transparency

Direct claims activity with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA), overseeing investigations, documentation, coverage, liability

Deliver responsive, thoughtful, and solution-oriented service to insureds and distribution partners throughout the claims lifecycle

Attend mediations, trials, and settlement conferences as needed

Drive technical excellence in order to control indemnity and expense loss through timely and appropriate reserving, and ultimate resolution claim closure

Collaborate with Claims Legal to control litigation costs and to coordinate legal strategy and trial preparation

Communicate with all internal business partners including underwriters to make sure underwriting is aware of large losses and industry trends

Maintain internal claims best practices related to file management to ensure accurate and organized internal claims documentation for all Claims, Data, Complaints, Denials & Reservation of Rights, Large Losses and Large Loss tracking
