Wastewater Video Inspector II
The City and County of Denver is seeking a Wastewater Video Inspector II to enhance the quality of life in Denver through effective public infrastructure services. The role involves conducting inspections of sanitary and storm sewer lines using specialized video equipment, documenting findings, and performing minor repairs on inspection equipment.

Responsibilities
Conduct sanitary and storm sewer line inspections by operating and maintaining a remote controlled, self-propelled closed-circuit video camera, television monitoring screen, and other related equipment, and assist in determining the necessity for maintenance, repair, or replacement
Create audiovisual tapes that describe the condition of sanitary and storm sewer lines and record all pertinent data based on the technician’s knowledge of the types and properties of sewer line construction, wastewater system layouts, and water flow characteristics
Activate and adjust equipment controls for optimal results utilizing software that collects data and analyses and archives information
Perform maintenance and minor repair of camera and electronic equipment
Document inspection findings and forward to the appropriate division unit, and maintain records, reports, and files
Conduct inspections based on citizen complaints and requests from engineering staff and record pertinent information and narrative reports
Maintain and performs minor repairs on audiovisual and other related equipment
Follow the lead of the Inspector III, and act as interim lead when they are out
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Two (2) years of experience involving electronic maintenance and repair in a sanitary/storm collection system
This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
Preferred
Experience in sanitary and stormwater collection system maintenance and/or construction
Inspection experience related to infrastructure, trade work, and/or construction
Experience inspecting sanitary and storm collection systems using PACP (Pipe Assessment Certification Program) software
PACP Mainline Certification (training and continuing education provided)
PACP Manhole Certification (training and continuing education provided)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to use hand tools
