Human Resources Intern
Albany International Corp. is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support various HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. The intern will assist with HR Information Systems, learning and development programs, and performance management processes while promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities
Assist the HR team in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews with candidates
Support the management and maintenance of the HR Information Systems (HRIS) by updating employee records and ensuring data accuracy
Help facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new hires, ensuring they receive the necessary training and resources to integrate smoothly into the company
Contribute to the planning and implementation of learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth
Assist in creating and distributing internal communications to keep employees informed about company news, policies, and events
Participate in initiatives aimed at increasing employee engagement and satisfaction, gathering feedback, and helping to implement improvement strategies
Support the performance management process by assisting in the administration of performance reviews and collecting relevant data
Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by helping to organize events and programs that promote an inclusive workplace culture
Assist in organizational design efforts by gathering data and providing insights to help improve structure and workflow within the company
Maintain regular attendance and active participation in team meetings to ensure effective collaboration and productivity within the HR department
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with employees at all levels
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High level of attention to detail in tasks such as data entry, documentation, and reporting
Basic understanding of human resources principles and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with colleagues
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take on new responsibilities and contribute ideas
A genuine interest in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
