Responsibilities

Planning, scheduling, and monitoring the efficient movement of material from identification of the requirement to delivery to the end user
Managing and actioning exception messages to maintain schedule adherence
Define raw material scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules
Performing tasks for incorporating engineering change activities
Monitoring and reconciling any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle
Developing strategies, implementing plans, and tracking progress for cost savings initiatives
Creating and maintaining valid plans for material and capacity planning
Validating and converting planned orders to Production Orders or Purchase Requisitions
Ensuring converted orders are completed on schedule
Balancing supply and demand, performing initial hardware impact assessment, assigns, distributing and tracts tasks
Leading and managing projects assigned by leadership to accomplish organizational objectives

Required

At minimum completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment
High School/GED
Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding
Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended
At minimum, actively pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university
Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2026
Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer of 2026
Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts in order to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills
Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations: Decatur, AL
All applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined in ITAR 22 CFR 120.62 (e.g., U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or protected individual
