Revenue Accountant, Oil and Gas (95K-110K+Bonus)

LHH is seeking a Revenue Accountant for a respected client in the upstream oil and gas industry located in Fort Worth. This role is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of revenue accounting related to operated and non-operated oil and gas assets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with company and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Process monthly operated and non-operated revenue in accordance with company policies and procedures
Maintain and update accounting records for property acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and sales
Prepare and analyze monthly revenue accruals, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation to actual results
Calculate and distribute royalty payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
Review production volume reports to verify allocations and create appropriate revenue entries
Prepare and submit severance tax, royalty, and production reports to the State of Texas and federal agencies
Manage suspended royalty accounts and prepare journal entries to clear outstanding balances
Assist with entering production data and run ticket amounts into WolfePak
Respond promptly to owner inquiries regarding revenue payments and resolve discrepancies
Support the revenue manager and team with special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Required

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in upstream oil and gas revenue accounting
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
Proficient understanding of oil and gas accounting principles, operations, and terminology
Strong Excel skills, with the ability to perform complex data analysis and reporting
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Self-motivated and adaptable professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with standard office equipment

Experience with WolfePak accounting software
