The Executive Director role is a volunteer position responsible for guiding the relaunch of The Art of (DE-FI)ance Fashion Fund, implementing strategy, and strengthening partnerships for future growth.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations during the relaunch phase
Execute Board-approved strategy and organizational priorities
Support governance, compliance, and nonprofit best practices
Cultivate partnerships across education, workforce development, fashion, and community sectors
Collaborate on fundraising strategy, grant readiness, and donor engagement
Oversee program alignment and operational readiness
Serve as a public-facing representative of the organization’s mission and values
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, education, workforce development, or community-based organizations
Strong organizational, operational, and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting or leading organizational growth, restructuring, or early-stage development
Comfort working in a mission-driven, resource-conscious environment
Ability to collaborate closely with a Board of Directors
Passion for building access, accountability, and long-term infrastructure within creative or workforce ecosystems
Preferred
Familiarity with fundraising, grants, or nonprofit finance is a plus
A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
Lived experience and mission alignment are highly valued
