Chief Executive Officer
Uncommon Elite is a growing commercial construction platform pursuing aggressive expansion through organic growth and M&A. The CEO is responsible for scaling the business, integrating acquisitions, and building a repeatable value-creation engine, with full authority over P&L, people, and performance.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Leadership
Own full P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet management
Set and execute platform-level strategy tied to growth and acquisition goals
Translate board-level objectives into executable operating plans
M&A Leadership (Non-Negotiable)
Lead end-to-end M&A execution: diligence, valuation support, integration planning, and post-close execution
Partner with owners, investors, and advisors on deal sourcing and deal structure
Build and operate a repeatable post-merger integration (PMI) playbook
Standardize systems, processes, and reporting across acquired businesses
Retain key leaders and stabilize operations through transitions
Operations & Execution
Drive operational excellence across estimating, project execution, scheduling, and closeout
Implement scalable systems, SOPs, KPIs, and reporting cadence
Improve gross margin, job-level profitability, and execution predictability
People & Culture
Build and lead a high-accountability senior leadership team
Establish clear roles, expectations, and performance standards
Create a culture of ownership, discipline, and execution across legacy and acquired teams
Growth & Scale
Balance organic growth with disciplined acquisition strategy
Evaluate expansion opportunities by market, geography, and capability
Position the business for long-term value creation and optional exit
Governance & Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary operating interface with ownership, investors, and board
Deliver clear, data-driven reporting on performance, integration progress, and risk
Ensure compliance, safety, and risk management across the platform
Qualification
Required
Prior CEO, President, or senior operating role in commercial construction or industrial services
Demonstrated M&A experience: multiple closed transactions and post-close integration ownership
Proven success integrating acquisitions into a unified operating platform
Strong financial acumen with hands-on P&L responsibility
Experience leading distributed field teams in a remote environment
Decisive, accountable, and execution-oriented
Has personally led M&A transactions and post-merger integration
Understands construction economics at the job level
Will hold standards during integration—even when it creates friction
Bias toward clarity, speed, and measurable outcomes
Preferred
Real authority to build and scale a construction platform
Significant compensation tied to performance and value creation
