Responsibilities

Assist in performing directed high end scientific research and activities in computational mechanics, FEM/Particle methods, time integration and analysis (60%)
Help to write quality research proposals to government agencies and industry, prepare/assist in journal research papers/book chapters/directed lecture materials, and development of software tools for numerical analysis based prediction and comparisons for verification and validation (30%)
Other related duties as assigned (10%)

Required

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field
Mathematical and computational experience in academic research lab environment
Software programming for scientific simulations
Interdisciplinary and multi-physics relevant strong background
Design of computational algorithms for 1st /2nd order time dependent systems
