Responsibilities
National Site Documentation: Travel throughout the U.S. (with occasional trips to Canada/Puerto Rico) to perform comprehensive site surveys
As-Built Production: Translate field measurements into precise, foundational AutoCAD drawings
Night Operations: Conduct surveys during "off-hours" or overnight shifts to accommodate retail clients and active shop environments
Technical Consulting: Use your deep knowledge of building systems to identify structural or MEP issues early, acting as a consultant for the in-house design team
Travel Strategy: Manage a flexible schedule. While a 50/50 split between the field and the office is standard, we offer the flexibility to increase travel for those who prefer being on-site
Qualification
Required
Significant background in commercial or retail architecture, field documentation, or construction
Expertise in AutoCAD is essential; you must be able to produce your own background sets and surveys
You must understand how things are built from a contractor's or field expert's perspective
A self-motivated professional who can represent the firm with maturity in front of national clients
Preferred
Registered Architect (RA)
