Junior Energy Resource Analyst

The Junior Energy Resource Analyst will be responsible for designing and monitoring measurement campaigns, conducting energy yield assessments, and performing technical feasibility assessments for onshore wind farms and solar plants.

Responsibilities

Measurement campaigns design/follow up/ monitoring/data analysis from meteorological masts (wind/solar) or remote sensing methods (Lidar)
Wind & PV Micro-siting, design, and layout optimization (simple and complex terrain)
Wind & PV Energy Yield Assessments
Wind farm & solar Power Plant Performance Analysis
Technical feasibility assessment of onshore wind farms and PV plants
Development of programming tools and databases to manage information, measurement equipment, and meteorological masts
Energy evaluation communications in the short-term forecast of the projects in operation
Other duties related to the role as required

Required

Education: Physics, Engineering, or equivalent university degrees (B.Sc. min). Energy related posgraduate programs would also be highly valued
1-2 years of experience in the renewables sector and a similar position would be highly desirable
Advanced knowledge of specialized software for wind /solar design will be highly valued: AutoCAD, PVSyst, Global Mapper/QGis, knowledge of WAsP or WindPRO/Openwind
Expert at using different spatial file formats including CAD, KMZs, Shapefiles, Rasters, and Geodatabases
Required Knowledge: English needed, Spanish will be highly valued. Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite will be valued (Excel)
