Office Assistant (Part-time)- Staff Pool
Inside Higher Ed is associated with Houston Community College (HCC), one of the country’s largest open-admission community colleges. The Office Assistant will perform basic clerical duties, handle office inquiries, assist with on-campus registration, and maintain office supplies, contributing to the smooth operation of HCC's daily activities.

Responsibilities
Answer telephone, handling multiple lines
Handle routine office inquiries
Use word processing software
Assist with on-campus registration
Operate office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator
Refer students to appropriate person or department
File correspondence and other records/documents
Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts
Provide support to other areas as needed
Maintain inventory of office supplies, orders maintenance/repairs for office equipment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
One (1) year experience in an office environment preferred
Good written and oral communication skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with a diverse population
Ability to alphabetize
