Boston University's Technology Development Office is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Executive Director of Intellectual Property and Licensing. This leader will oversee all aspects of intellectual property prosecution, manage licensing agreements, and ensure compliance with university policies while fostering innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate intellectual property prosecution efforts in collaboration with external counsel

Draft, negotiate, and manage licensing agreements and related contracts, including Material Transfer Agreements, Inter-institutional Agreements, and Confidential Disclosure Agreements, with support from the Business Development team

Ensure strict compliance with university policies, applicable laws, and sponsor agreement terms

Serve as a trusted educational resource for faculty and staff on intellectual property and licensing matters

Provide accessible, timely, and professional intellectual property management and licensing services to Boston University, Boston Medical Center, and their faculty and staff
