Responsibilities

Delivering quality routine laboratory testing to OSUMC patients and clients as well as to the community

Effective interactions with staff and clients

Proficient with the laboratory information system and processing samples, answering phones and filing

Maintain and troubleshoot all laboratory needs related to Mysis, Atlas web based order entry software, E-Results and Customer service needs

Ordering and processing patient specimens using prescribed Mysis, Atlas methodology and instrumentation and assisting with preparation of specimens for routine and STAT orders for chemistry, hematology, and coagulation analysis on blood, urine and other body fluids

Assist Medical Technologists in other aspects of laboratory functions to include Quality Control, Quality Assurance and instrument maintenance

Participate in Mysis and Atlas continuing education activities scheduled by the laboratory and assist with training of new employees and students
