Responsibilities
Lead the design and deployment of Google Distributed Cloud to enterprise edge locations
Define and implement leading practices for edge operations, governance, and security
Partner with Google and ecosystem partners to accelerate client adoption and integration
Establish architectural patterns that support distributed workloads, data gravity, and local autonomy
Enable edge adoption of AI/ML, advanced analytics, and modern application stacks (e.g., containers, microservices, serverless)
Work with client stakeholders to define business use cases and translate them into scalable technical implementations
Mentor engineering teams and build capabilities to support edge-to-core-to-cloud operating models
Contribute to thought leadership by defining frameworks, accelerators, and reusable assets for GDC adoption
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with proven leadership in distributed cloud or edge deployments
Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Google Distributed Cloud solutions
Strong understanding of edge computing, including latency, data locality, and resilience requirements
Hands-on experience with modern application platforms such as Kubernetes (GKE, Anthos), containerization, and serverless computing
Familiarity with AI/ML deployments at the edge, including model deployment, inference, and lifecycle management
Experience with networking, hybrid architectures, and security across distributed environments
Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing consulting skills
Preferred
Experience deploying technology in industries with distributed edge footprints (e.g., retail, QSR, manufacturing, telecom)
Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies
Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and sovereignty considerations in distributed cloud deployments
