VP, Business Development - Regulatory & Franchise Verticals
The Trade Desk (TTD) is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. They are seeking a Vice President of Business Development who will lead their global strategy and relationships with leading brands, managing multiple vertical businesses that represent significant revenue and growth.

Responsibilities
Develop a multi-billion-dollar book of business, setting vertical-specific strategies that reflect distinct market dynamics across QSR, Finance, & Insurance, Auto, Pharma, and Canada
Balance near-term revenue delivery with durable, multi-year growth
Make clear investment and prioritization decisions across verticals
Serve as senior executive sponsor to C-suite clients, agencies, and holding companies
Navigate regulatory-heavy environments (Finance, Pharma) with credibility and discipline
Represent TTD externally with authority and clarity
Establish consistent operating rhythms across diverse vertical teams
Drive forecasting rigor, pipeline quality, and resource allocation
Ensure leaders are aligned on priorities while retaining vertical nuance
Hire, develop, and retain senior leaders across regions and verticals
Create clarity in org design, decision rights, and accountability
Raise the bar on talent density and leadership maturity
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience in advertiser leadership, strategic partnerships or business development roles with deep knowledge of brand marketing and media investment strategies
Proven track record of leading a $4B+ book of business with full accountability
Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of marketing P&L, media planning and buying workflows and programmatic advertising ecosystems
Experience leading large, complex teams (40+ FTE; 150+ preferred)
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of navigating complex multi-party agreements with agency HoldCos and multi-billion dollar clients
Global perspective with success leading distributed teams and scaling programs across multiple regions
