Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering

Establish an externally funded and internationally recognized research program
Teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels
Contribute to the department’s mission through service and promotion of inclusive excellence
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline
Dedication to teaching undergraduate and graduate students in Biomedical Engineering
Demonstrated excellence in research and publication
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Record of successful teaching experience and curriculum development at the college level
Interest in developing interdisciplinary collaborations across engineering, computing, and applied sciences
Experience working with diverse student populations and employing inclusive pedagogical approaches
Postdoctoral research and previous experience working with industry
We are seeking candidates at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in one or more of the following areas that are synergistic with our current faculty expertise: medical devices, biomechanics, and cell and tissue Engineering
