Responsibilities
Chair and structure effective board governance across the holding company and subsidiaries
Hold the Group CEO, CFO, and platform CEOs accountable to agreed goals, timelines, and capital discipline
Enforce clarity around: Performance expectations, Decision rights, Risk management
Ensure accountability is binary: outcomes achieved or leadership changes
Act as the primary advocate for the Founder at the board level
Step into the breach when governance, politics, or external pressure threaten execution
Protect long-term value creation from short-term fear or compromise
Ensure decisive leadership is supported, not slowed
Provide judgment during: Acquisitions and integrations, Financing and capital structure decisions, CEO/CFO appointments or removals
Pressure-test strategy without interfering in execution
Prevent avoidable mistakes using experience—not hindsight
Provide perspective, pattern recognition, and guidance to senior leaders
Help executives think at portfolio scale, not company scale
Coach without crossing into operational control
Support deal flow, financing relationships, and institutional credibility
Introduce connections once execution and trust are proven
Assist in keeping deal velocity high and standards uncompromised
10-15 hours per month during normal operations
15+ hours per month during active acquisitions or strategic inflection points
Qualification
Required
Seasoned, battle-tested Chairman who has already helped scale multiple businesses from tens of millions to hundreds of millions and into the billions across diverse industries
Governed or operated multiple billion-dollar divisions across industries such as Consumer Services, Healthcare, Government / regulated markets, Technology, Business services
Scaled organizations from $10s of millions → $100s of millions → billions
Been directly involved in significant rollups and complex integrations
Led or overseen diversified portfolios, not single-company growth stories
Seen things break—and know how to prevent it next time
A widely known name across the industry
A governor, not an operator
Direct, disciplined, and intolerant of excuses
Comfortable enforcing accountability at the highest level
Motivated by legacy and effectiveness, not titles or visibility
Ability to provide advisory, governance, accountability, network, and experienced judgment
Ability to chair and structure effective board governance across the holding company and subsidiaries
Ability to hold the Group CEO, CFO, and platform CEOs accountable to agreed goals, timelines, and capital discipline
Ability to act as the primary advocate for the Founder at the board level
Ability to provide judgment during acquisitions and integrations, financing and capital structure decisions, CEO/CFO appointments or removals
Ability to provide perspective, pattern recognition, and guidance to senior leaders
Ability to support deal flow, financing relationships, and institutional credibility
Time commitment of 10-15 hours per month during normal operations and 15+ hours per month during active acquisitions or strategic inflection points
