Responsibilities
Design and implement the end-to-end architecture for a multi-agent AI system with shared memory, retrieval, and tool execution
Build infrastructure enabling agents to perform tasks safely: reasoning, workflow execution, data handoff, and contextual continuity
Create scalable backend services to orchestrate agent flows, guardrails, conversation state, and event-driven tool use
Develop APIs and middleware for workflow automation (lead gen, onboarding, scheduling, CRM handoffs)
Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for financial domain knowledge (ingestion, chunking, embedding, indexing, evaluation)
Leverage Vertex AI for scalable inference, model orchestration, and agent tooling
Build safety tooling: retrieval scoring, citation tracking, hallucination reduction, and guardrail enforcement
Ensure consistent agent behavior across workflows and use cases
Build and maintain the application experience (Next.js/React) and supporting backend services (Python/Node)
Implement real-time chat / streaming interfaces (WebSockets or server-sent streaming) with strong observability
Integrate authentication, session management, and analytics (OAuth2, Google Analytics, telemetry)
Develop internal dashboards for compliance, performance monitoring, and operational support
Design secure storage and handling of confidential financial information, including encrypted databases and strict access controls
Implement audit-ready logging: tool execution logs, conversation transcripts, timestamps, summaries, and retention rules
Apply secure application development best practices: threat modeling, least privilege access, secret management, secure APIs
Build privacy-first systems suitable for regulated environments
Architect the platform for high concurrency and reliability (thousands of simultaneous sessions)
Implement caching, rate limiting, fault tolerance, and cost-controlled scaling strategies
Build performance monitoring and alerting, with strong operational visibility into system behavior
Qualification
Required
5–10 years full-stack experience building scalable systems in production
Strong experience on Google Cloud, including deployment and scaling patterns
Demonstrated ability to build and secure applications handling confidential or regulated data
Proven success integrating APIs, databases, and third-party SDKs into reliable architectures
Experience with conversational AI, RAG, agent frameworks, and vector search
Strong product instincts: ability to translate complex workflows into clean, intuitive UX
Startup mindset: autonomous, high ownership, strong judgment, and bias toward execution
