Credit Analyst/Credit Officer
American Commercial Bank & Trust is currently seeking analytical and detailed candidates for a Credit Analyst/Officer position, located in their Joliet, IL office. The primary responsibility of the Credit Analyst is to gather and analyze financial data to assess a new or existing client's creditworthiness, while also collaborating closely with commercial lenders and other credit administration staff.

Responsibilities
Analyzes and spreads financial statements for new and potential clients in the Loan Vantage system
Performs cash flow analysis, debt coverage calculations, risk modeling, collateral review, and other quantitative analysis to determine client's credit worthiness, often with complex and intricate credits and relationships
Performs background research on client, industry and market trends, and economic forecasting to incorporate into the credit presentation to support analysis
Works closely with commercial lenders, commercial associates, and other credit administration staff to verify client and loan information
Interacts with clients to procure information and may accompany lenders with onsite client calls
Stays abreast of internal lending and credit policies
Assists with internal and external audits and examinations, and client audits
Due to the growth of the organization, may become involved in helping to develop better internal processes and protocols, and working closely with the Chief Credit Officer, Credit Administration staff and other key executives within the organization
Completes all required annual training (compliance, security, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business
Solid understanding of accounting, statistics, and economics
Knowledge of commercial credit analysis, market trends and loan procedures
Attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong quantitative skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Ability to research financial topics and present reports on findings to a variety of audiences and decision-makers
Adept at decision-making
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, forming positive working relationships with lenders, clients, internal colleagues, and senior management
Preferred
3+ years of previous credit analysis experience desirable
