Qualdoc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Fabricator to lead and assist a team of welders/fabricators in fabrication and welding operations. This leadership role focuses on ensuring seamless production workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and guide a team of up to 15 production associates, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards

Monitor and manage daily production activities, ensuring that fabrication and welding, meet all established goals and timelines

Conduct regular inspections of workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, working alongside quality control personnel to ensure quality standards are consistently upheld

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste

Ensure that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated, coordinating with maintenance teams to address any issues promptly

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Required

Minimum of 5 years experience within a structural steel fabrication environment

Proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders

Strong understanding of welding techniques, CNC operations, and fabrication processes

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and management

High school diploma or equivalent
