Responsibilities
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner always
Maintain a safe work environment that follows all state, federal and company regulations
Performs complex analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve problems
Performs complex analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve problems
Maintenance of equipment, including outside vendor scheduling per maintenance contract schedules and suggests solutions to equipment problems and new/replacement laboratory equipment
Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion
Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related science is highly preferred
2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
Experience with QA/QC, Lab certification and production required
Working knowledge of ICP, IC, and other laboratory instrumentation is required
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
Ability to build rapport through regular conversations with staff
Preferred
Prior supervisory experience (2+) is preferred
