Director of Revenue Operations
Adventure Aquarium is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for guests and is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations. This role involves developing and managing annual revenue plans, overseeing expense management of various business units, and ensuring exceptional guest service while leading a team focused on revenue growth and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage annual revenue plans to ensure business units deliver on targets
Revenue development and expense management of all retail business units: gift shop, photo, and lessee sales
Expense management of all front-of-house operating business units: guest services, guest experience/programming, safety, parking, and housekeeping
Management of food & beverage profit and loss for concessions and catering with third-party business partner Aramark
Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of business unit performance and goal attainment. Recommend shifts in strategy and tactics to deliver on KPI goals and plan attainment consistently
Oversight of third-party partners, managed by subordinates:
Front and back-of-house security, Sunstates Security
Landscaping and snow removal, Elite Landscaping
Housekeeping, Aramark
Parking, LAZ
Drive maximum revenue & profit potential through routine research and development of new revenue-generating concepts
Engage in strategic planning, positioning the revenue and operations departments to contribute towards and support long-term property goals
Bring a spirit of collaboration and service to the position, applying unique perspectives and insights to accomplish cross-functional objectives; cultivate opportunities for revenue growth and guest satisfaction from counterpart initiatives
Partner with the executive revenue team and divisional revenue leaders at other Herschend Enterprises properties to champion and employ best practices
Model a spirit of guest advocacy, serving as an unbiased, empathetic representative for guests and their needs. Translate guest needs and wishes into business/service opportunities by identifying and manifesting solutions
Deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring that service is friendly, prompt, informed, and exceeds customer expectations
Cultivate and lead a team of “guest-first” professionals who are others-focused, warm, and welcoming, and inspire the Aquarium Team to “create memories worth repeating.”
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required in business or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in hospitality, for-profit attractions, theme parks, museums, or sports franchises, with leadership, operations, and revenue/retail responsibilities
Highly motivated with strong retail business acumen and exceptional leadership skills
An entrepreneurial spirit able to find opportunities and leverage them for gain
Ability to inspire and motivate property stakeholders towards a shared vision
Ability to accept feedback and sell ideas that will improve the business
Committed to the enjoyment of our guests, the success and development of our teams, and the collective good of the property
Business leadership demonstrated through patience, kindness, trust, unselfishness, truthfulness, forgiveness, dedication, and humility
Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work one weekend day per week and holidays
Ability to travel out-of-state two to three times per year for corporate meetings
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and quick adoption of technology
Successful completion of pre-employment background check
Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with the ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment
Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
Ability to operate a computer and keyboard
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
