Responsibilities

Assist the Spa Director in leading and directing the Spa, Fitness, and Salon departments
Help with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting certified therapists, nail technicians, estheticians, spa receptionists, hair stylists, and attendants, ensuring they meet the necessary qualifications and training requirements
Oversee staff scheduling and manage payroll records in line with budget guidelines
Monitor inventory, purchasing, and retail operations, including performing quarterly inventory checks and creating purchase orders
Work closely with the Spa Director to establish treatment protocols for innovative spa treatments and massage therapies, delivering professional training to ensure compliance with Four Seasons service standards. Utilize extensive knowledge of Spa products to develop unique treatments that distinguish our Spa from competitors
Assist in managing the Spa and Fitness facilities, applying expertise in budgeting, forecasting, yield management, utilization, menu management, and retail operations
Market the Spa and Fitness facilities as world-class destinations, generating positive PR and recognition in renowned publications such as Conde Nast, Travel + Leisure, and Spa Magazine in a competitive environment
Train staff in effective sales techniques to drive treatment and retail revenue
Ensure compliance with all Health Code and Licensing requirements as per the State of Florida
Respond appropriately to any emergency or safety situations within the hotel
Handle complex guest interactions professionally and competently

Required

A degree or relevant equivalent in one of the following fields: Hotel/Hospitality Management, Spa Management, or Exercise Physiology
A minimum of three years of experience in Spa management
Proven experience in luxury hospitality/spa settings
A demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of spa operations, treatments, retail, and service trends
Strong organizational and time management skills, especially in a high-paced environment
Familiarity with spa booking systems (preferably Book4Time) and tools like Opera, Birchstreet, and Microsoft Office Suite
A collaborative approach to working across departments, ensuring a warm, professional guest experience
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 lbs
Flexibility to work on any scheduled day and time, which may vary based on business needs, including holidays
An excellent service attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations
