Responsibilities

Design and implement robotic motion planning algorithms and trajectory optimization
Develop solutions for robotic manipulators to handle lab consumables and equipment
Integrate, test, and debug software on physical robots and simulations
Work directly with scientists to translate lab workflows into automated solutions
Focus on robustness, scalability, and simplifying complex systems

Required

4+ years of experience designing and building algorithms for robotic systems
Experience with robot arms and manipulator systems
Proficiency in Python
Background in motion planning, kinematics/dynamics, or control
Strong software engineering practices in production environments
Flexible, hands-on mindset; comfortable wearing multiple hats
BS/MS/PhD in CS, ME, EE, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

Experience with robotic simulation platforms (PyBullet, MuJoCo)
Lab or manufacturing robotics experience
Familiarity with mechanical design tools (SolidWorks)
Knowledge of software communication protocols (ZMQ, gRPC, Redis)
Contributions to shipped hardware-software products
