Responsibilities
Partner closely with business, operations, and product teams to ideate, evaluate, and execute AI-driven solutions that improve workflows, decision-making, and client experience
Translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready AI systems and automation
Design, build, and deploy AI-powered tools and services using industry-standard language models
Implement retrieval-augmented systems that connect AI services to structured and unstructured data sources
Build and orchestrate automated workflows using tools such as n8n, AWS Step Functions, or custom orchestration layers
Integrate AI services with internal platforms, APIs, and third-party systems
Own the production lifecycle of AI systems, including deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and iterative improvement
Establish observability across system quality, latency, reliability, and cost
Manage prompt and configuration versioning, experimentation, and safe rollout strategies
Architect and operate AI infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Bedrock, SageMaker endpoints, S3, RDS/DocumentDB)
Collaborate with security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure AI systems meet regulatory, security, and Responsible AI requirements
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship, helping establish AI engineering best practices across the organization
Qualification
Required
6–8 years of experience in software engineering or AI engineering with ownership of production systems
Proven experience building and operating production AI systems using modern language models and retrieval patterns
Hands-on experience with industry-standard language model platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock)
Strong understanding of AI system operations, including deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and iteration
Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as n8n, AWS Step Functions, Temporal, or Airflow
Strong proficiency in Python and API-driven architectures
Experience deploying and operating systems on AWS
Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives from concept to production
Preferred
Experience building AI-driven automation in regulated or data-intensive industries such as mortgage, finance, or real estate
Experience designing reusable AI or automation components used across multiple workflows
Familiarity with vector search and document retrieval systems
Experience establishing AI engineering standards or patterns in a growing organization
Comfort working in a zero-to-one environment with evolving requirements
