This key role is responsible for coordinating nursing schedules, monitoring attendance, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet resident care needs.

Responsibilities
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact list for all nursing department staff
Track, document, and report daily attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism to the DON
Create, post, and maintain monthly nursing schedules ensuring proper coverage
Adjust staffing based on census changes to minimize overtime and agency usage
Coordinate modified duty schedules in collaboration with HR and the DON
Address and resolve staffing and scheduling concerns promptly and professionally
Assist employees with scheduling-related forms, requests, and inquiries
Provide ID badges, time cards, and schedules to new hires prior to orientation
Collaborate with nursing supervisors to resolve staffing challenges
Maintain accurate records of staff licenses and certifications in compliance with HIPAA
Prepare payroll for the nursing department and manage agency staffing
Serve as backup for the Unit Secretary when needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a nursing or long-term care facility
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic payroll processes
